One of the more interesting tie-ins of The Spirit published during 2008 was 'Will Eisner's The Spirit: A Pop-Up Graphic Novel'

Adapted by Bruce Foster, this reprint is of the two-part 'Sand Saref' storyline from 8 and 15 January, 1950 (this was originally the first John Law story). Bruce Foster has worked on projects such as 'Pop-Up Book of Celebrity Meltdowns' and 'Christmas at the Zoo: A Pop-Up Winter Wonderland' . 

This reprint has a lot of slide-outs and two mini-booklets to retell this classic storyline (careful with the mini-booklets as they are difficult to remove to read). The artwork is faithfully reproduced and the splash pages look very effective as pop-ups!

It would be great if any further Spirit stories were reprinted in this way.
